The eyes are said to be the mirrors of the soul but they're also one of the most misunderstood parts of the body. That explains why there are a lot of myths surrounding them.
Is it true when you sleep while your hair is wet can make your eyes blurry or blind?
According to eye experts (Opthalmologists) and other professionals caring for our eyes this is "so untrue!".
Eye deficiency can be caused by many things but sleeping while having your hair wet its a big "NO!NO! "
Below are examples which can cause eye sight defeciency:
Bad eye sight can means lacking of essential nutrients and vitamins which can be found in green leafy vegetables..
and dont forget Vit. A,
"Bata palang tayo sinasabihan na tayo ng mga magulang natin na kumain ng Carrots o di kaya'y kalabasa..na parehong mayaman sa bitamina A."
(But be warned everything that is too much..is bad..excessive Vit. A can cause
blurred vision, itchy skin, loss of appetite, hair loss, joint pains, and irregular menstruation.)
Reading in dark places...
when in dark places our eyes works double the effort..and long period of time in this condition our eyes will get stressed out...which lead to eye strains which includes headaches, drooping eyes, sore eye balls, back and neck ache and blurred visions..
"as much as possible choose a place where the light is good enough for you to see clearly."
Too much exposure to U.V.R. or Sunlight
Yes! Sunlight is good to us, to our skin and even the brightness it gives for our eyes..
But too much of it is not good for us(when there is Light comes Heat as well)..specially in our kind of weather in Philippines, where in its daylight 12 hours and more than half of it the sun gives out strong and harsh rays of lights..which can lead to cataracts, glaucoma or worst cancer.(will be explain in future articles)
Its very advisable for us to wear sunglasses and any head gear that can hide our eyes, while outside under the sun(the more its darker the more its good against U.V.R.), and do not look directly at the sun with out any protection.
Over used eyes
Every part of our body when over used can cause stressed or over fatigue..even our eyes, will make it work inefficiently, Which can affect our productivity...
that's why we are strongly advised to fully rest our eyes and not put it in a long hours of work.
